Well, it’s been an interesting week in the Hedding household. Asher may have had a busy week, but he was a trooper through it all. And truthfully, it hasn’t been as bad as it could.

Monday, he got his 12-month immunisations. We also had to speak to the doctor about a a nappy rash he’d had for about a week, which hadn’t gone away when we treated it. He got to the point where he just didn’t want me to change his nappy. Maybe it’s a phase he’s going through?

Asher was more cranky on Tuesday. I wasn’t really able to tell if it was because of the jabs (American English=shots) he’d gotten the day before or a new tooth that has been trying to come through. Wednesday morning I discovered that yes, indeed there was a tooth! Our little man now has 6 teeth!

By Friday his rash was still not any better, so with it being a bank holiday (of course),we took Asher to the after hours clinic at hospital. The nurse took one look at Asher, and asked, “Has Asher been exposed to anyone who has chickenpox?” Not a rash, but chickenpox! That was a parenting fail on my part for not recognising that our son had chickenpox a week ago when the first couple appeared! Oh, well. Ignorance is bliss, right? :) Now that we know, I have to say that Asher has handled it pretty well… considering his poor little bum was probably itching all week.

Well, hopefully we’ll have a better week this week… And stay healthy until we get back from the US! :P
